"Ugh...Broccoli..not again," is what my kids used to say.  Not anymore.  Try this at home.  We have yet to find anybody who doesn't enjoy this healthy vegetable prepared this way.  Broccoli is readily available and has enormous nutritional benefits.  Google "Broccoli health benefits" and you'll see the info.  Try cauliflower, too...Just as good.

Broccoli is THE power food.

After a recent family road trip to New Orleans we found ourselves craving the legendary charbroiled oysters from Drago's Seafood Restaurant.  Decadent but incredibly good, this dish is something you'll never forget.  Below is our version of Drago's famous entree
and includes a brief lesson on shucking oysters.

Kale is one of the best things you can consume and it's loaded with beneficial nutrients.  I convinced my kids to try our version of baked kale chips and they love it! Super easy to make and plenty of opportunity to have your kids help you in the kitchen.

 

I'm also a fan of the hit TV show, The Walking Dead.  Don't recommend kids viewing that show but it's entertaining for adults. We decided to make a video of our culinary adventure. You may notice some humor and resemblance to The Walking Dead.  Check it out below:
